Westman Magic AGM
The Westman Magic Softball Association Annual General Meeting will be held Tuesday, October 27th at 7 pm in Brandon at the North End Community Center.
we would like to give notice of our upcoming AGM. This is an important and crucial part of the governance of our organization and its future. With having your athlete a part of our program, you become an automatic member and receive 1 vote per player in any motions or elections. Please note that all registered U19 players will be considered members at this point. Once a team is finalized, only those selected will be considered voting members.
Any changes to the constitution must be presented by way of a motion by October 6th at midnight to westmanmagic@gmail.com
All motions must be received in the format on the attached template. A sample motion and the Westman Magic Constitution are attached for reference.
Members wishing to submit an item for the agenda can do so by emailing the agenda item to westmanmagic@gmail.com by October 17th
This program does not happen without a Board of Directors, and we appreciate the dedication and passion put forth by those who choose to give their time. The Board meets once a month and is crucial in times of Tryouts, Team Selections, MPSL Communication, Hosting of the Wheat City Classic, Year End Appreciation BBQ, general governance and much more. We have a few openings for two year terms that we would really ask people to consider. There will also be a Team Rep opportunity as a sitting board member to be voted on by the teams after the AGM.
Positions to be elected are: President, Secretary, Communications, and Coach Development and Recruitment. Nominations for elected board positions are now open and will be accepted until October 19th at Midnight. Submit your nomination to westmanmagic@gmail.com using the attached form.
